The RateIntegration senior management team has extensive experience in the Telecommunications, Media, and Entertainment industries, including executive positions with many leading companies in North America and Europe. Profiles of key members of the executive team appear below.
Thomas Thekkethala, Chief Executive Officer
Thomas Thekkethala has over twenty years of diversified experience in founding and leading technology start-ups. He founded the telecom software companies, SRG and CCSS, both of which were successfully acquired in 1994 and 1997. During his career, he has led teams that have developed and deployed technology at the leading service providers in the U.S. Mr Thekkethala serves on the board of RateIntegration and Ibrix. He has published and presented papers on technology at the major telecommunications conferences nation-wide. Mr Thekkethala holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Information Management from Washington University, St. Louis, where he also served on the School of Engineering faculty for over five years.
Imran Jan, EVP of Business Development
Imran joins RateIntegration from Sprint Nextel with 17 years of expertise in platform strategy, development & implementation of business driven technology solutions in very complex environments. At Sprint Imran was the Director of Solutions Management leading a team of 125+ professionals responsible for platform strategy and the delivery of large scale wireless and wire-line programs across customer care and billing platforms. He led the platform strategy, scoping, development and conversion of 4M BOOST subscribers from legacy platform to a multimillion dollar Next Generation Pre-Paid mobile virtual network enabled (MVNE) platform. He also managed the full customer lifecycle launch of the first full service CDMA Pre-Paid product for Boost Mobile MVNO that generated 200,000 new subscribers within 8 months. As part of one of the largest merger transformation programs in the telecommunications industry, he led the solutions integration office to integrate the Sprint (CDMA) and Nextel (IDEN) platforms. Prior to his Tier I operator experience, Imran worked as the IT Director at start-ups TalkingNets Communications and BroadRiver Communications (VoIP CLECs). He started his career with positions at Price Waterhouse Coopers, KPMG, MCI and Raytheon after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo.
Donald Stone, PhD, Chief Technology Officer
Dr Donald Stone is the chief architect of RateIntegration and has led development since company inception. Dr Stone has over 18 years of experience in the design and implementation of large-scale and mission-critical software systems. His background includes real time systems, e-commerce systems, transaction processing systems and networking systems. Prior to joining RateIntegration, Dr Stone spent five years at IBM, most recently as the lead architect of the IBM WebSphere Payment Manager. Dr Stone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina.
Dallas Wrege, PhD., Vice President of Engineering
Dr Dallas Wrege is a world-class system developer specializing in high-performance, large-scale, real-time software systems. Prior to joining RateIntegration in 2000, Dr Wrege spent several years at IBM where he was most recently the chief programmer and development lead for two releases of the WebSphere Payment Manager. His research area is multimedia networking, and his implementation expertise lies in e-commerce, transaction-processing and real-time systems. Dr Wrege has a BA in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
Neil Cleasby, VP of European Sales
Mr Cleasby has over 20 years of sales, project management and engineering experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining RateIntegration, he was the European Sales Director for Vibrant Solutions. In this role, he was responsible for the growth of the business and has succeeded in selling Vibrant’s Cost Assurance products and services into both fixed and wireless service providers. Before his role at Vibrant, Neil was Vice President Global Sales and Marketing for LPG Innovations, Director of Business Development for ML Integration Group and Account Manager for Cisco Systems.
Bert Dempsey, PhD., Vice President of Product Development
Dr Bert J. Dempsey has over 15 years experience as a researcher and consultant on multimedia networking and Internet technologies. His professional career began as a professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where, from 1995-1999, he published 35 research articles and provided graduate-level instruction on IP networking and distributed systems. While remaining an Adjunct Associate Professor with the UNC Computer Science department, Dr Dempsey moved into communications consulting and, since early 2000, he has led the technical pre-sales and business development function at RateIntegration. Dr Dempsey has a BA in English from Davidson College as well as an M.S. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
